This stunning, award-winning masterpiece entitled “Home for the Homeless” invites the viewer deeper into the story behind art. Inspired on a rainy Istanbul road, a young art student drew a house with her finger in the fog of the bus window, her mind and heart filled with thoughts of those living on the streets, without shelter from the storm. She later created this large oil paint artwork from that memory, winning an award for the work that illuminates the forgotten ones too many too easily erase from canvas and from memory.
